About us

Everything started already in October 1989, when Pavel Manas (future chief of the firm Metal Breath Production - November 1991), came with an idea to form a metal fanzine. The first issue was published in the end of March 1990 and so far Metal Breath 'zine is the fanzine with the longest history in the Czech Republic - by the end of June 2004 have been published 48 issues. Today three redactors are publishing and magazine became to be popular not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries. It cooperates with almost all metal bands in Czech Republic and Slovakia, with Czech and foreign publishing labels, fanzines, magazines, webzines, distributors and other important people from underground. The fanzine is A5 format with 40 pages (it depend on issue), professional print. Inside you can find mostly reviews CD's, demos, 7"EP, live, articles, interviews and many other interesting things. We concentrate on the styles such as heavy, thrash, death, grind, doom metal, but you can find also other styles mostly from Czech and Slovak scene. The magazine is published only in Czech.

Attention! The magazine is not the only activity of Metal Breath Production. Since 1993 we also work as an independent publishing company. Our first baby product was CD-EP of techno-thrash band from Klatovy ASMODEUS 'Den zuctovani' ('Day Of Judgment'). The second title is the compilation of 13 best Czech doom metal bands 'BREATH OF DOOM Compilation' - the detailed information is on the Breath Of Doom page. The third title is a MC by the doom metal band PROMISES 'Understanding', released on June 1998. The next title is MC by the hermetic doom death metal band from Pilsen - MYTHOPOEIA 'Scheps Ankh, Aesch Mezareph, Atropopaia, Michani', released on March 15th 1999. These two releases on MC was the beginning of long cooperation between Promises and Mythopoeia on one side and Metal Breath Production on the second side.

A two new titles of 2000 year were debut CD of DYING PASSION 'Secretly', released on 5th May 2000 and debut CD of doom-rock band PROMISES 'Flight To Fall', released on 29th November 2000. Next release that was published by Metal Breath Production was a debut CD of hermetic doom death metal band MYTHOPOEIA with name "The Golden Leaf Of Oak", released date: 1st November 2001. In the middle of the year 2002 Mythopoeia did not continues in their existence.

We published during the next two years - 2002 and 2003 just one CD per year. Fistly, second CD DYING PASSION "Voyage", released date: 17th May 2002. This CD was relased by Blackwind Records, Japan for Asian, North and South American Market in April 2003, but this company bankrupted in November 2003. Their version of CD DYING PASSION "Voyage" have one bonus track (Nightfall - Remix) and have thick version of booklet. Metal Breath Production signed in the end of year 2002 legendary melodic black / death metal from Pilsen, Czech Republic SORATH and released their third CD "Vivimos En Perpetua Guerra". It was released in June 2003 and their third album is most selling CD in these past years!

Next year - 2004 Metal Breath Production published also two CD! First of all, debut CD of melodic doom metal band called THE RAYS OF THE SUN called "Living Flowers Gallery", released in 1st July 2004 and second release was publish in October 2004 - third CD of DYING PASSION, called "Sweet Disillusions".

The end of 2004 and in the beginning of 2005 we prepared completely new domain and web sites. This was released by 1th of June 2005
